Hello, my name is Joshua Bianca! I am a Marquette based singer, dancer, and actor originally from the Metro Detroit area! I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre with a Dance Minor at Northern Michigan University.

As a child, I tried playing almost every sport known to man, searching desperately to find the extracurricular that would allow me to shake the “family quitter” title. When my 6th grade choir class all decided they were auditioning for the winter musical (Into The Woods Jr.), I chose to follow suit. I walked into my first audition with a 32 bar cut of “I Know Things Now” and truly couldn’t have known any less. Nevertheless, I was offered the role of The Wolf and decided it was time to finally retire my soccer cleats.

After that moment, I never looked back. I dug my hands into every music and performance opportunity I could and even ended up starting a band in high school! As a college student, I’ve had the great privilege of furthering my theatrical education both in class and on stage, working hard to be a versatile performer, ready to take on any task.

About me!

Outside of the theatre, I strive just as hard to be the multi-hyphenate I am on stage. As an avid hobby-hopper, I have always worked towards mastery in the most random of activities. From needle point felting, to candle making, to backyard dry ice science experiments, my parents were always kept on their toes.

I have since refined my skills and now dabble heavily in cooking, baking, sewing, painting, playing my instruments, and any craft / up-cycling project I can teach myself or learn from a quick video.

As a “to make a short story long” kind of person, you will always find me stationed near the charcuterie board making friends with strangers and walking the fine line between not enough fig jam and way too much fig jam.

If you are ever stuck in a situation that calls for a DIY, a pastry, or long list of food recommendations (follow me on beli @joshuabianca), I’m your guy!
